The work produced by Green Room for our latest product re-launch is creative yet pragmatic, a workable solution which will give us real standout.
The response from subsequent trade launches has been tremendous and we are gaining substantial new distribution.
Green Room brought fresh new ideas to the pitching table which demonstrated a clear understanding of the Cadbury brand.
The execution was fantastic with final results that were as exciting as the original conceptual drawings. We are absolutely delighted with the results.
Ten years ago, Green Room was born in the ‘Green’ bedroom of Founder and CEO, Richard Ash. The first Green Room logo was created by James Parsons, who was actually Richard’s brother in law.
Our first job was to generate some names for a range of men’s underpants – eventually called Ultrafit! We then went on to do some great retail space for Cadbury.
We created a premium retail space for Majestic Wine in March 2003, created some great concepts for Leicester City FC. We also started working with Umbro, who we still work with today.
Our Cadbury Factory retail concept rolled out across 12 stores and we created some great packaging for Pretty Polly. Things were really starting to take off for Green Room, so we decided to take on some more staff and get a bigger office.
We developed a new Green Room Logo, got an office in Tenby Street Birmingham, and won some great new clients within Fashion, Sport and Technology.
As well as London Eye, Adams, Britannia and Motorola, we began to work with Nike in 2006. Not only were we thrilled to work with such a world-renowned brand, a dynamic partnership was formed which 5 years later, is still going strong. We were also a finalist in the Design Week Awards that year.
With 12 employees, we were going from strength to strength, with new client wins such as BlackBerry, JJB, Honda and Next. We were also shortlisted for another award, this time in the Retail Interiors Awards.
As well as a new GRR logo and our ‘energising retail experiences’ mission statement, we started to work with some major high street retailers and branched out into the leisure attractions sector.
In 2009 we picked up a number of major clients within the fashion industry and became member of the DBA (Design Business Association). We grew to 25 employees, so we thought it may be time to look for an even bigger office.
We moved into our great new Green Room offices at Fort Dunlop – why not come visit us and we’ll show you around? We also filed for our first patent for our unique mobile device ‘Grrip’. With 39 staff, we developed a brand new logo to match our new office and new company positioning.
Through our focus on design, delivery and commercial results, Green Room has grown well during the tough years of recession and are now the UK’s fastest growing design and delivery practice. We now have over 45 employees and 4 international awards and will continue to support our clients to achieve their growth objectives too, as our international reach expands.
